Instant Pot Rice
I always made rice on the stove, but recently I ran out of burners preparing a meal for guests so I tried the Instant Pot. Wow it works great.
How
- Measure out rice. 1.1 parts rice to 1 part water works well for Jasmin rice or 1.2 to 1.
- Wash rice in instant pod (I usually just do a single rinse to get some starch out), strain, and put back in pot.
- Measure out water and add it to pot.
- Brush down sides and then turn cook for 3min high pressure (takes longer then 3 min as pot must heat up and build pressure).
- When cooking is done turn off Instant Pot and let rest under residual pressure for 10min.
- After 10min de-pressure and serve.
